The Challenge & Vision
Glass along the entire northern elevation, a door straight onto the sand, and an owner who had already replaced one faded floor. Anything we laid had to hold its colour under sustained UV, tolerate sand tracked in daily, and not telegraph every grain of grit underfoot.
The Solution
We selected a pale sand-toned hybrid with a UV-stabilised wear layer and a lightly textured emboss that hides fine grit between sweeps. A wider expansion allowance was set on the glazed elevation to absorb the daily thermal swing, and an aluminium threshold at the deck door takes the wear where sand does the most damage.

We had already replaced one floor that faded out within two summers. Three years on this one still looks like the day it went down, and it takes wet towels and sand without a word of complaint.
